Susan S. Wolfe, MA, LPC
I am Susan Wolfe, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I specialize in working with women who are going through trauma or transitional periods of their lives. Women who suffer from depression, anxiety, abuse, PTSD, or strained or broken relationships can find healing here.
Collaboration
I collaborate with clients to find the best mode of therapy for their healing process, integrating Christian spirituality for a holistic approach. In my experience, Christian counseling helps clients connect their faith in God to the way they live, bringing about a connection between head and heart knowledge.
Qualifications
I have several specializations that work can help clients in many situations. I am a member of NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association), AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors), EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing International Association), and Psychotherapy St. Louis.
Along with my private practice, I am the primary therapist at the Castlewood Treatment Center for Eating Disorders, I serve on the DBT Consultation Team with Deer Tracks DBT group, and I have 15 years of business industry experience.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic process. Anything you say in the counseling process will remain confidential. I will not share anything with employers, family, friends or neighbors without your express written permission.
There are only a few exceptions to this policy. If a client is in danger of hurting him or herself or others, the therapist is legally bound to tell someone to keep everyone safe. If child or elder abuse is suspected, the therapist is legally mandated to involve child or elder protection authorities to investigate. Confidentiality and its limits are discussed in detail early in therapy.
